Actually really finished

Handed it in, all packaged in a beautiful brown envelope for you to enjoy my ihi and feel the resultant wihi. Feel the rhetoric as it pulses off the 150gsm gloss stock.

FINISHED

Its all mounted and packed up in a folder to be handed in later today. Its been one hell of a journey, with sleepless nights and transfusions off coffee, but i now understand rhetoric and how to use it effectively to persuade my audience with my ihi. What a champion, eh? Na, its been a good one.

Its still week 6

Drama over, my poster is printed (twice actually, because of an F up on their part that left my work streaky), my stock to mount is brought. Just a matter of putting it all together.

Holy F*** its week 6

Received yet more feedback (courtesy of my peers, or colleagues or some really grown up word to refer to my class mates) and now know that my tagline was too big. It was mostly done to balance my composition (because having a centric design is alot of fun to balance). However, thats all the drama, its now down to last tweaks and i can print well ahead of schedule (oh, that time management).

*Insert a bad pun for the title

After recieving some excellent critique, I realized my entire piece was too 'contrasty', making it harsh, the complete opposite of the tone i wanted to convey. So ive toned down all my pure blacks to dark greys and slightly tinted my white so its slightly creamy. Now its just the shear fun of arranging type on the grid and deciding if my tagline isnt too waffly and big, #bigdecisions.

another 'type' of problem

In defiance of the god of good design, I realize lately i have been ignoring this little thing called: THE GRID. Which is terrible practice and i should be smoten on the spot. On the bright side it means my recent slew of developments actually look good. Huzzah and all that. Its still missing something and is a bit ff balance though. However, my message is as clear as the governments neglect of the middle class (ooooh thats political). I'll keep you updated, dearest blogger, on the upcoming developments.

Im not the type to like type

So after a nice development party, i've established (for the millionth time in my life) that my main problem is type and how to make it work in a composition. However i am getting there. The wording itself reinforces my rhetoric; pathos, appealing to peoples feeling and nostalgia in particular. But making it work in a composition is my new goal in life (aiming high, eh?).
